Group Exercise

Experts agree that group exercise can be beneficial. "Working out in a group provides support, accountability, and structure," says Lynne Vaughan, Chief Innovation Officer of the national YMCA. "People don't want to let their buddy or group down, which is terrific in terms of adherence to an exercise routine." The Donald W Reynolds Wellness Center offers a variety of group classes designed for your needs. Not only does participation in these classes increase your health and well being but they also help to meet new people and build relationships.

Group Exercise Class Descriptions

Boot Camp - This is a fast paced class based around circuits of strength training and cardio. Intended to burn body fat quickly.

Sets & Reps - Build full body strength and muscle endurance with this resistance-based exercise class that targets upper body, lower body and core, utilizing a multitude of "tools" including dumbbells, body bars and BOSU's.

Cardio Kickboxing - This class uses a variety of kicks and punches to get your heart rate up and develop basic kickboxing skills.

Yoga/Yoga Bliss - Create the mind body connection with this stress reliever. Yoga improves breathing, balance and strength.

Belly Dancing - A solo dance performed by a woman and characterized by hip and abdominal movements.

Zumba - Program combines international music with dance in an effort to make exercise fun.

30 Minutes to Better Health - High intensity workout using body weight, free weights and stability balls, designed to increase muscle, cardio endurance and burn calories, utilizing 7-10 different exercises. You will get a workout!

Workout DVD's - P90X, Insanity, and Hip Hop Abs

The teen L.I.F.T. class is a class designed for youths 12-15 years of age who wish to use the cardio area. This class (Lifting is for teens) will provide proper instruction on usage of the weight room. Once the individual is L.I.F.T. certified a badge will be provided and must be worn at all times while in the weight room. Cost to enroll is $5/student.
